Containment governs what the agent may do. Evidence infrastructure governs whether the claim can be defended: audit defensibility for AI in clinical work

Jensen Huang frames AI safety as an engineering challenge: permissions and system-boundary containerization, and silicon monitoring between models and agents. That is necessary runtime safety. It is not, by itself, a reconstructable healthcare record, and it is not audit defensibility for AI in clinical work.

The governance gap is an evidentiary gap: if you can't reconstruct the claim, you can't defend it, and no governance will spare you from the paperwork.

What moved

On 28 September 2026, NVIDIA launched the Open Agent Safety Platform. It pairs open-source OpenShell containment for agent permissions and boundaries with Sentry: silicon monitoring on BlueField that sits between models and agents, intercepts actions in real time, and enforces policy. NVIDIA's agent safety overview lays out the full stack.

Huang's frame is that safety is full-stack engineering, and that industrial quality standards beat premature regulation that stalls grounded systems.

We respect that work. Agents that can act need hard boundaries, and the industry is right to harden them. Our point is narrower. Containment answers one question well. Healthcare asks a second question that containment was never built to answer.

Honest cuts

As runtime safety platforms arrive, buyers will hear some confident claims. Here are five, and the plain answer to each.

"We locked down what the agent can touch; governance is done." No. That only limits access. It does not give you a claim a clinician, sponsor, or regulator can later defend.

"The monitor chip means we're audit-ready." No. Watching the agent in real time is not the same as proving the clinical claim months later.

"Sandbox the agent and provenance is solved." No. The signature stays on the signed document. Facts that move into AI tools can still become orphans no one stands behind.

"Runtime safety is enough for healthcare AI." No. Necessary, and not enough. You still need a record you can reconstruct so you can defend the claim.

"ScientixAI will validate our clinical AI or replace the clinician." No. We build evidence infrastructure. Clinicians still judge. We do not speak for regulators.

The problem with this move

We call it structural amnesia.

Permissions, containers, and silicon watchdogs answer the question: what may the agent do? Healthcare decisions still require a different one: can this specific claim be defended?

Defending a claim means answering who produced it, under what authorization, cleared by which named human, frozen against which evidence version. You reconstruct so you can prove.

You can sandbox an agent and still ship orphan facts with document-level provenance only. The agent stayed inside its boundary the whole time. The fact it produced still cannot say where it came from or who stood behind it.

Surface compliance remains necessary. It is never sufficient. That distinction is the heart of defensible AI.

What we are

ScientixAI builds evidence infrastructure for life sciences and healthcare: a record you can reconstruct so the claim can be defended when someone must stand behind it, across systems you already run.

We do not sell another containment runtime. We make the evidence object accountable when someone must stand behind the claim. That makes us complementary to runtime safety, not a rival to it.

Why now

Agentic systems are moving from chat to action while healthcare stakes stay non-negotiable. Industry is rightly hardening runtime boundaries. Most stacks still cannot defend the claim after the fact once it has moved.

Architecture chosen this year decides whether agents arrive sandboxed and attested, or sandboxed with orphan facts no one can defend.

Trust is never the input, evidence is. Let's build evidence infrastructure together.

Become a design partner

We are choosing a small number of design partners to build defensible AI together. Design partners set the order of the roadmap and get evidence infrastructure inside their own boundary while it is being built.
